Winner of the Syli d’or contest in 2012, Sonido Pesao is a group from Montreal that brings together and with a contagious energy. It presents a rich blend of urban music and rhythms of the world with Latin flavor to make it an explosive and energetic whole! In 2016, the group launched its new album Reir par no llorar. In June 2016, they received the Award for Music Diversity from the Arts Council of Montreal. Sonido Pesao were one of the headliners of the last Mundial Montreal. Their previous performances at the FTMS, at the time under the name of Heavy Soundz, marked the festival-goers by their enthusiasm and their rhythms which were very festive and original!
