In ten years, two albums, and numerous tours, Sara Curruchich has become one of the most popular artists in her country, Guatemala. Born in 1993, she belongs to the Kaqchikel people, one of the components of the Mayan mosaic of Central America. Her songs, in Spanish or Kaqchikel, one of the 23 officially recognized indigenous languages, bear witness to her struggles alongside women and indigenous communities.
