Connu comme « Le Hendrix du Sahara », Vieux Farka Touré est né à Niafunké, Mali, en 1981. Il est le fils du guitariste malien légendaire, Ali Farka Touré, lauréat d’un Grammy, qui est décédé en 2006.
Le nouvel album de Vieux Farka Touré, « Les Racines », marque un retour magistral aux racines profondes du Blues du désert que son père a fait découvrir au monde et que Vieux a passé la majeure partie de sa carrière à explorer, à expérimenter et à développer.
