Once again this year, festival-goers will have the chance to immerse themselves in the worlds of our 4 themed big tops. On the program: festive atmospheres, shows, activities and beverages from different regions of the world.
At the Hacienda Latina (MAJOR NEW FEATURE for 2025), you’ll be able to hear Salsa Brava with the group Lengaïa Salsa Brava and traditional Venezuelan Gaïtas with Repicao on Wednesday August 13. The following day, it’s the turn of Latin quartet Luz y la Tremenda to get you dancing, while Mexican-Canadian singer-songwriter Amanda Martinez presents her new album, and the group Un Vallenato en Canadá introduces you to the culture of her native Colombia. A number of other groups will also be taking to the stage, including The Cuban Martinez Show, led by Yordan Martinez, and the international group Batimento Dúo, who have come all the way from Uruguay to present the guitar tradition of the Río de la Plata. Not to be missed!
At the Shack d’Amérique, Native music will be in the spotlight on Wednesday, August 13, with singer Mike Paul Kuekuatsheu presenting his fourth album, Nutshimit (“inland”). On Thursday, August 14, get ready for Boogie Woogie with Arthur Migliazza and Big Time Lew (accompanied by dancers from Swing Sherbrooke). On Friday, August 15, the incomparable Martin Deschamps will rock the Shack with his show Retour aux sources. Traditional Quebec music, French Cancan Western dance, Louisiana Cajun dance music and many other styles await you!
At the Pub irlandais, you’ll have the chance to discover several Celtic music groups, including The StepCrew (August 13), The Bedlam Boys (August 14), Kitchen Party (August 15), The Devil’s Brigade (formerly The American Rogues) (August 15 and 16) and the Screaming Orphans with their original pop songs and spellbinding harmonies (August 16 and 17). Once again this year, it’s party time at the Pub!
And finally, at Espace Orient, you’ll be able to admire the Studio Danse Anka troupes with their various Middle Eastern dance styles (August 13, 14 and 17) and Tribal Roses‘ Fusion dance (August 16). Kazdoura trio will also take you on a journey with their jazz and funk improvisations (August 16). Many other Oriental-influenced groups and artists will be performing in this unique big top.
