The Grey Stars represents a new current of fusion music. Traditional music from Maghreb remains at the heart of their work. In a typical Belgian way of doing things, they integrated traditional Maghreb and Western rhythms. We will find influences of Rock, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Funk, Reggada, Riddim, Pop, Disco, Dance and Trans. The Grey Stars take up traditional songs that have been transmitted orally from generation to generation. Advocating multiculturalism, they like to see their music as a contemporary traditional world music.
