To celebrate 50 years of musical career, Yves Lambert presents a generous and festive performance that dives deep into his vast repertoire—one he has built since his early days with La Bottine Souriante, all the way to the present. For the occasion, he’ll be joined on stage by his Grand Orchestra, made up of 7 talented musicians: Paul Audy (guitar, vocals), Robin Boulianne (violin, mandolin, foot percussion, vocals), Mathieu Royer (double bass), Geneviève St-Pierre (keyboard) and a warm, colorful wind section featuring Mélanie Bourassa (bass clarinet and clarinet), Mary Chalk (bassoon), and Gabriel Schwartz (saxophone, flute, piccolo, and percussion).
With orchestrations that explore new harmonic and rhythmic landscapes, Lambert brings fresh energy to his most beloved songs—such as La Ziguezon, La Cuisinière, and Dans nos vieilles maisons—as well as to many other pieces that have shaped his journey. Throughout, his music remains deeply rooted in a passionate, open, and creative sense of Québécois identity.
“I’m a lover of harmony and musicality, no matter the style. Right now, I’m working with musicians who are truly virtuosic. Even though I’ve always had a rocker’s spirit—yes, even when playing folk music—you can still feel the sensitivity. It’s fluid, it’s beautiful, it’s bold… it has all the right qualities.” – Yves Lambert
