Arab and Latin Music
Born in Montreal to Syrian parents, Nadine Altounji is a singer, oud player and guitarist who bridges Arab and Latin American musical traditions through a vibrant contemporary lens. Like the roots of trees, we carry within us the stories that connect us; her music explores these invisible links between cultures. Drawing on Arabic maqams, Afro-Latin rhythms and contemporary folk influences, she creates a powerful and unifying sound. Performing as a power trio, she delivers an intense and embodied set where rhythm and improvisation bring these shared roots to life.
