The Grey Stars represents a new current of fusion music. Traditional music from Maghreb remains at the heart of their work. In a typical Belgian way of doing things, they integrated traditional Maghreb and Western rhythms. We will find influences of rock, funk, jazz, reggae, funk, reggada, riddim, pop, disco, dance , trans. The Grey Stars take up traditional songs that have been transmitted orally from generation to generation. Advocating multi-culturalism, they like to see their music as a contemporary traditional world music.
